Coco And Eve Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Self Tanner Mousse | Coco And Eve Reviews Of 2024

Coco and Eve’s popular self-tanner lives up to the hype; it sets in just 2 hours and gives me a natural-looking glow.

I have to buy the lightest foundation tones because of my fair Irish skin, I can wear SPF100 to the beach and still get sunburned, and even the perfect shade of bronzer looks a little orange against my complexion. I’m not one of those individuals who despise their paleness — I’ve long embraced my skin — but when I need a sunkissed glow for a formal event, the only way I can get it is from a bottle. That’s why I was eager to try Coco and Eve’s Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam self-tanner, the viral Instagram brand’s second product.

I’ve tried spray tans at a salon before, but I prefer the do-it-yourself approach. A spray tan costs $30, while Coco & Eve’s $40 self-tanner comes in a lotion form that you can use at home and includes 10-20 full-body sessions. I tried it out to see if it lived up to the buzz. Coco And Eve’s ingredients

Coco eve reviews

Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam by Coco and Eve is a vegan recipe with 100 percent natural DHA and “no nasties,” according to the manufacturer. Virgin coconut oil, mango fruit extract, fig fruit extract, and cocoa seed extract are the main constituents. Dr. Ronald Moy of Moy Fincher Chipps Facial Plastic and Dermatology provided me with a full overview of what I would be putting on my body.

Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is one of the key active chemicals in most sunless tanning lotions — and the second ingredient included in Coco and Eve’s mix, according to Moy. “It reacts with the skin’s surface layer to darken the skin and simulate a tan when applied, [making] this form of tanning far safer than tanning in the sun for hours on end.”

Virgin coconut oil “is regarded by some to offer potential benefits, including keeping the skin hydrated,” according to Moy, who also claims that cocoa seed extract “improves the skin’s complexion.”

The self-tanner is also made with “Cellushape” technology, which is derived from lotus flowers and “delivers anti-cellulite benefits by restoring lipolytic activity (the same action that occurs when exercising) to tone, improve the “orange peel” effect, and reduce thigh and buttock volume,” according to Tom Reynolds, head of the brand at Coco and Eve.

Coco And Eve’s Self-Tanner: My Experience

After my workout, I had a shower, dried myself, and exfoliated with Coco & Eve’s Deluxe Exfoliating Mitt (available separately for $12). The mitt was not one of my favorites. As I tried to exfoliate in a circular motion as directed on the package, it kept sliding around my hand. Using a dry brush would probably have made me less frustrated.

The application process was straightforward after that. I pumped the product immediately onto the applicator mitt and used a small, circular motion to apply the mouse to my arms, legs, stomach, chest, back, and shoulders. A few pumps in each part went a long way.

The mousse dried quickly, but for the two hours I had to wait before showering, I draped a blanket over my chair just in case. You may also apply the self-tanner before going to bed and leaving it on overnight, but I knew I’d be too worried about stains, so I went with the faster alternative.

A tropical mango and guava smell pervade the Coco & Eve Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam. It sounds beautiful, but it’s really sweet and quite strong, and it gave me a headache, to be honest. Even before he saw me, my husband claimed he scented me.

Before and after applying Coco and Eve self-tanner.

I jumped back into the shower when the two hours were up and watched as the color faded from my skin. What was left was a delicate, sun-kissed radiance that was absolutely ideal for me. It wasn’t excessively light or dark, and it wasn’t orange in the least. I also saw some fading after approximately a week.

Cons worth mentioning

Coco & Eve’s Sunny Honey self-tanner exceeded my expectations in every way. The pungent odor is the only main drawback worth mentioning. Because I have a poor sense of smell, when I say something smells strong, I mean it. It was just a touch too sweet for me, and it made me feel nauseous.

In conclusion

Traditional sunbathing can harm skin DNA, so self-tanning is a much healthier choice. Many self-tanners appear false because, well, they are, but Coco & Eve’s Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam provides skin with a natural-looking finish.

Coco & Eve’s self-tanning foam costs $40 a bottle, which is comparable to other self-tanners. Coco & Eve, on the other hand, has the upper hand in terms of quality. The tan seems natural and lasts for roughly a week without any additional care.

The Coco and Eve Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam is a terrific option if you’re searching for a vegan-friendly self-tanner that’s easy to apply, sets in just a few hours, and leaves your skin looking gorgeously sun-kissed and nourished.
